A Heartwarming Tale: Stray Table Returns Home!

This little table found it's way back home.....isn't it cute?!  It had been given to me and I kept it for a while, but then had no place for it, so I sold it. Bad me! How could I? But it was going to a good home (sigh)......The person who bought it decided she didn't need it anymore either, so she gave it back. Reunited....YaY!


It had been away from home for a while and had quite the adventure, so it needed a little TLC

 I did a quick sand job.......(this did not hurt the little table, in fact it seemed to like being sanded)

a couple of color tests......

 a quick coat of spray paint........ normally, I wouldn't use spray paint on furniture, but I wanted this to be quick and I wanted a high gloss finish. The spray paint fit the bill quite nicely.

 I've had these cute little knobs lying around for about 5 years. Because there were only three, it was always hard to find a piece to use them in. Lo and behold, this table had three drawers. Perfect!

 It's like they were made for each other, and they are getting along very well!

Now to find  a 'forever' home.........

Is Bigger Better?

I am always changing things around at my house. Sometimes I like the result, sometimes it goes back the same exact way it was! And then there are the rare times I can't decide......That's where you, dear reader come in. I need your opinion on whether or not bigger IS better. I'm talking tables, of course! Here is a corner of my living room with the table that WAS there (which incidentally, I found in an alley!)

 

I like it just fine, but in a fit of re-arranging, I ended up with this in it's place.......

Now I can't decide which one I like better! Is the bigger, darker and chunky table better (which, incidentally, I found on the side of the road with a sign taped to it 'For Sale $25' and a phone number.....I called) or is the round, lighter pedestal base table a better shape?
