I'll Get You My Pretty........

Just a few of the things I saw and loved on my latest jaunt to HomeGoods......

This piece was amazing. What is really resin looks like white glazed porcelain.  A low slung coffee table, but I would probably throw a round cushion on top to use as an ottoman.......a BIG ottoman!

Carrying the fashion turned decor and decor turned fashion theme, a beautiful suzani print apron for only $7.99! Love this au courant print. I *might* want to make a pillow out of the fabric.....

Wanted to take this entire grouping home and stage a vignette! Colors, finishes, shapes, Oh My!! But my favorite was.......

Who doesn't love a blue ceramic urn/obelisk/pagoda shiny thing?!

And rounding out my shopping adventure, we have a chartreuse faux leather and nailhead patterned folding screen. So cool! I am totally going to try making my own because this one was $200.

Alas, it was only an 'inspiration' shopping trip because none of these delicious morsels came home with me. Ah well, there's always next time! What have you discovered lately?

Isn't it amazing......

........how different color combos can completely change the look of a pattern?! I have seen it 1,000 times over, and I still get amazed every time! I was in Joannes Fabrics the other day and spotted this super fun print.

Love the bold colors, the big swirls and the reference it gives to a Suzani textile with those flower medallions. I took a shot of my hand next to it to show the scale of the print.

A big, bold, fun, graphic print, no?

Now here is the same print in a different color way.

It's suddenly softer, romantic, and less ethnic looking. I am hard pressed to say which one I like better! I can see using both of them, albeit in completely different scenarios. Guess them textile designers really know what they're doing! How have you seen color change a print or object? Share your thoughts! As always, thanks for visiting today. See you next time.....
